How will my pension be calculated if I retire early?

Your pension is based on your deferred pension at the date you left service increased in line with the Fund Rules to your chosen date of retirement. If you are under age 60 at your chosen date of retirement then your pension is reduced for early payment, for example at age 50 the reduction is 33 per cent, at age 55 it is 18 per cent and at age 58 it is 8 per cent.
