TfL Pension Fund Deepens UK Investment Commitment in 2025
In 2025, the TfL Pension Fund has reinforced its commitment to the UK economy, allocating £3.2 billion, which equates to 21% of its total portfolio, to domestic investments, significantly above the typical 3% UK allocation in global 60/40 portfolios.
The Fund's private market asset allocation, including real estate, infrastructure, and renewable energy, with notable holdings in over 250 assets across all UK regions. Highlights include £286 million in social infrastructure such as hospitals and schools, and strategic investments in Cory Riverside’s energy-from-waste facilities.
The Fund also continues to lead in sustainability, with its renewable energy portfolio generating over 713,000 MWh and avoiding 200,000 tons of greenhouse gas emissions. These investments not only deliver strong financial returns but also create lasting environmental and social impact across the UK.
