Pension Dashboards
Overview
The UK Government has given the Money and Pensions Services (MaPS) the responsibility of creating a Pension Dashboard that will be free for individuals to use to access their pensions information online, securely and in one place. Dashboards will provide clear and simple information about an individual’s multiple pensions savings, including their State Pension.
All pension schemes in the UK need to connect to the dashboard ecosystem to provide pension members information about all of their pensions. The TfL Pension Fund connected to the dashboards ecosystem on 31 May 2025.
The project is being managed by the Pension Dashboard Programme, you can find out more at the Pension dashboard website.
The Government will decide the date that pensions dashboards will be made available to the public, which is known as the Dashboards Available Point (DAP). They will provide at least 6 months' notice of the DAP.
Pensions Dashboards will provide details for Active Members currently contributing to the Fund and Deferred Members who have yet to claim their pension.
If you are already receiving your pension your details will not be available through Pensions Dashboards, you can view your pensions information including payslips through our Pension Web Portal.
The video below explains how Pensions Dashboards will work:
Do you need to do anything?
It will still be some time before dashboards are available but in the meantime we would encourage you to check that your personal details such as Surname, Date of Birth, National Insurance number and address are showing accurately on the Pension Web Portal or the correspondence we send to you. If there are any discrepancies, please notify us as soon as possible.
Once Dashboards are running and you have submitted a Find Request
If you submit a find request, you will receive one of 3 possible responses:
A Match has been found
Where a match has been found, you can make a view request through the dashboard to view your pensions information.
A Possible Match has been found
This response will be returned where the Dashboard has not made a 100% match but has identified a possible match that may be because of a difference on one of the data matching data items. If you believe you have an unclaimed pension with the TfL Pension Fund, please email [email protected] with the following information:
- Full Name
- Date of Birth together with age evidence such as a Birth Certificate or Passport
- National Insurance Number
- Address together with proof of address such as a recent utility bill
If following receipt of the above information we are able to confirm a 100% match we will update our records and this will notify that dashboard ecosystem that a possible match has been resolved and you will then be able to submit a view request through the pension dashboard.
No Match has been found
This response will be returned where the Dashboard has not been able to make a match with a high degree of certainty, it doesn’t necessarily mean you don’t have a pension with us. If you believe that you do have an unclaimed pension with the TfL Pension Fund, please email [email protected] with the following information:
- Full Name
- Date of Birth together with age evidence such as a Birth Certificate or Passport
- National Insurance Number
- Address together with proof of address such as a recent utility bill
- Confirmation of the date you were a member of the Fund
If we do hold benefits for you we will notify you.
